Cell groups, family groups, disciple groups, care groups ... there are many names for the small group ministries prevalent in churches today. At SouthGate Church, we choose to use the term CARE GROUPS because that is exactly what we want to happen ... leaders and members caring for the practical and spiritual welfare of one another.

Any growing church faces the possibility of not being able to effectively serve those who meet for Celebration every Sunday morning and midweek gatherings. As SouthGate Church grows, it becomes ever more committed to the growing CARE GROUP emphasis so that EVERYONE has the opportunity to grow in Christ through fellowship, serving, and using personal giftings.

The CARE GROUPS at SouthGate are comprised of special ministries groups and family care groups. Special Ministries include Special Interest Groups, Young Singles, Single Women's Group, and the Young Marrieds Group, all of which meet regularly. The family-oriented Care groups likewise meet in selected homes on a regular schedule and are located in strategic geographical areas of Phoenix and surrounding cities.

Meetings consist of small groups and include time for fellowship and "friend building", food and fun, and a time of reflection usually centering on the most recent teaching of our Pastors.

SouthGate Church is committed to the welfare of our membership and realizes that the CARE GROUP initiative is critical in light of its ongoing growth - and the food's good! Everyone must be connected, and there is no better way than meeting in small groups regularly!

Also, Children's Ministries, including the 91st Psalm Christian School, are vibrant programs offered at SouthGate designed to minister to the children of our community.

Life's Challenge Ministry focuses on those coming out of, or enabling a dependent lifestyle, and offers support and encouragement through this journey.

Many things are going on at SouthGate!  Please review the tabs on the Main Menu to see more of what the SouthGate ministry is all about.
